The Camp Hill Arts Foundation

The Camp Hill Arts Foundation which is a foundation within the Camp Hill Economic Development Group (CHEDG), in partnership with the Borough of Camp Hill, is hosting the 2012 Plein Air Camp Hill Competition and Arts Festival from June 5th through June 10th. The Plein Air (painting outdoors) event is an effort to raise awareness of this distinctive type of art form, to promote cultural activities within our community, to promote the Borough of Camp Hill and the surrounding west shore communities, and to support art programs for disadvantage persons in our region.

This six-day event is one of Central Pennsylvania's showcasing of the talents of over 40 regional artists painting in en plein air—in the light—in a juried painting competition, along with exhibits, sales, workshops, entertainment and more. Juried artists from around the region will be exhibiting work for sale at three different galleries along Market Street. The artists will be painting scenes from within the west shore communities as well as creating distinctive pieces to include Camp Hill Borough's historic buildings, parks and vistas.

Reager & Adler P.C. and the Camp Hill Borough Council are this years first platinum sponsors, Alliance Impairment Management is this years first silver sponsor, Metro Bank is this years first bronze sponsor as well as other individuals and businesses showing their financial support in an effort to make the 2012 event a successful one.

LOCATION: Market Street from 21st to 24th Streets and in Willow Park at 24th and Market Street, Camp Hill.
